I do not trust those contraptions and what may be listening in on them. Even if we are all nothing more then programs, I rather not give anything hostile an earful.

[Although he still will use it for trolling or scanning what others might consider to be important information.]

As for what, I wish to call a truce.

[Well, he's not wrong there. Everything that's happened so far hasn't given any of them much confidence in what CERES was apparently trying to do, especially since they didn't seem to still be making any moves toward helping them restore their homes.

A truce? [He looks confused for a moment.]

[He freed his hands from his pockets, reaching up to snag the blue butterfly that just decided to flutter down and settled it on his other hand to walk across. If he didn't the daft thing would be trying to tangle in his hair and he did not need little blue sparkles in his hair, thank you very much.]

Why do you find that so surprising?

Not exactly what I was expecting to hear from you considering ... [He gestures vaguely.]

What? Considering that I went on a revenge-filled murder spree that ended with your sword in my gut?

[Lets just lay it all out where both of them can discuss it without any of the lies. After all, if Ryuuga has gotten that far, he knew the whole story.]

That does not mean I am completely without understanding the need to cease hostilities when there is a bigger threat surrounding us. It isn't like there are any other Makai here or we would have seen them by now since this entire setup screams of a Horror-trap. And given the limitations of possible allies that understand how we were trained, I would rather work with a known factor then attempting the find someone that possibly could turn into a liability.

[Well, at least they both are on the same page as far as that's concerned. Honestly, it was a little embarrassing that he didn't realize it sooner, but what's done is done.

The part that bothers him the most, though, is the fact that Jinga wasn't wrong about any of this. The entire situation still was an uncomfortable reminder of Vol City for him, which only a few select people even knew about, never mind the extent of that damage both physically and mentally. One hand at his side tightens into a fist, but he's not lashing out.]

So you're calling a truce until we get to the bottom of what exactly CERES and everyone else is doing.

[He has had time to think about it. He had even tested the theory out by attempting to make a mark, any mark really. Outside of his blood still being poisonous, he did not have the ability to open Gates or force Inga to spread, at least not on the normal background of people and buildings that were part of the infrastructure. Even the poisoned effect didn't work right; those poisoned just died. It annoyed him to no end.

He didn't like the idea of teaming up in any form to the GARO but he couldn't see any other choice. It was like he said; at least he knew Ryuuga's strengths and weaknesses.]

I wish a Priest was also here, even if I am unsure any of their stronger spells would work right.

Considering the way things work around here, I don't think so.

[Another pause.]

Though how do I know if I can trust you on this?

There is no reason for me to break a truce here.

[True, if he had an alternative he might not have come forward with this offer, but there wasn't one, at least one that he knew.]

I do have some trappings of my honor left.

Yeah, well, forgive me for not believing that right out of the gates.

[Even if he is a bit more trusting than some, there's still echoes of good old Makai Knight paranoia there. It's not exactly something he can break overnight, never mind the fact that things have gone south quickly without warning bot here and back home.]

Naturally.

[He understands that on one level. After all, he did try to really harm Ryuuga and Rian as well as the world while driving a massive demonic castle across the land. It must be hard to imagine him having any kind of honor after that.]

From time to time, I may request some sparring. As much as there are opportunities in ViViD, I do not trust it.

[It's still really eerie how this is turning out as well as it is.

For a given value of "turning out well", anyway. It's about then that Jinga mentions sparring and he stiffens slightly for a split second, but he also remembers that he's beat him before, this wouldn't be any different.

Though he'd have to decidedly try not to gut him.]

Considering the bullshit it put us through, yeah. Not going in there if I can help it.

[Though he's fairly sure that he and Zaruba are going to end up having a long talk - even though the Madougu hasn't piped up yet, Ryuuga would have to be stupid not to feel the heat from his left hand.]

[What? Did Ryuuga think that Jinga got all his alliances with the other Horrors by threatening them with getting eaten? He was capable of making deals and shifting the balance much more evenly to hold off a superior force. Granted, he did end up either sacrificing them or eating them as Ladan slowly clocked down to awakening, but that was to be expected.]

I also highly doubt there are a lot of people that could either of us a real workout in any case.

[Superhumans or not, they were at a higher level then most when it came to fighting just by the sheer amount of training they had.]

Any requests on your part?

[A good chunk of them, yeah. Either that or they were too stupid to realize what would've happened later on once things ramped up. Horrors were never really known to be the brightest bulbs in the box with very few exceptions.

There's a nonchalant shrug at the second part - the fight he had with Yusuke in ViViD when he went berserk came right to mind there - not that he was going to talk about that one anytime soon.]

Give me a day or two to talk with Zaruba. Also no surprise requests and I swear if you try to use anyone else here as bait to get me to spar with you? That last fight is going to feel like a warmup.

[He hasn't met anyone like that yet. Then again, he really hasn't gone out of his way to do so unlike Ryuuga. Jinga never did work well with others as much as he should have, but then again, he had certain ideals he liked to see more of and always was disappointed in not seeing.]

I assure you that if I want to talk or spar with you, I will go directly to you, though I still am not going to stop talking to other people.

But fine, I'm sure that your Madougu has a lot of bad stuff he wants to yell about and is feeling polite about not saying it in front of me.

More like I'm forcing him to wait.

[He's not a fan of that, especially when he knows exactly what Zaruba's going to be yelling at him about, but it's necessary for the time being. He's not a huge fan of this situation either.]

Whatever. We're still enemies, even if we've got a similar goal. Don't forget that.

[It was just a touch of sarcasm really. He knew that Ryuuga was probably holding the Madougu back in order to just get this meeting over with. After all, the faster they came to an agreement, the better.]

[He's honestly just bracing for what he thinks is the inevitable at this point. Might as well get it out of the way.]

Nothing I can think of, though we should at least communicate any new information about our captors.

[He wasn't going to do anything predicable at this point. After all, that would just give Ryuuga the comfort of feeling right and what use was that to Jinga?]

There was an odd transmission a few days ago and I believe that there may be a meeting for people to discuss it soon.

[Well, that hasn't changed.]

Yeah, I saw it. That was one of the first things I saw when I got back. [He's looking visibly uncomfortable about it, though. A lot of this is really bringing back bad memories of Vol City, even if the circumstances aren't exactly the same.]

I take it that what it was saying was not comforting to you at all.

[He actually had no real thoughts about it himself. He was, after all, just a Horror who would only become purified if they were ever returned back home. He didn't have a future or a life to return to.

If they do get a meeting going, will you attend?

Not exactly.

[And sure, Jinga knows at least something of what happened before, but it's not like he's going to suddenly open up about it to him. The only reasons why Adolf and Yuri knew what they did was because they had seen what happened from the mirrors in the labyrinth.

Probably. I wanted to check up on some people while I'm there anyway. [He hadn't heard back from Adolf since he got back, usually he was pretty good about being quick to get back to him - in fact, he couldn't even find him in his contacts anymore after the initial attempt at a message.]

[He knew but he wasn't going to pry the details out of Ryuuga about it. It wasn't important unless people from that time started appearing, and he doubted that happening at all. If it did, he was sure he could deal with the Horrors just like any other Horror he had come across in any event.]

When I was asking around about you, I've heard that the system sometimes will 'delete' a person from here. No one knows why or how, but it is similar to how you were gone for the past month.

[That would explain the radio silence. Though he really doesn't know what to say or how to really feel on it.]

Huh.

[Honestly, out of the entire situation, he was more worried about what might become of others - that part of his demeanor still hasn't changed. Probably never will.]

Even if they aren't here anymore, I want to make sure myself. I don't trust the "system" here either.

[Jinga would say that it was annoying, but that's Jinga for you.

Whatever Ryuuga did was his choice; he wasn't going to tell him how foolish it was. He only felt the need to let him know that it might be in vain.]

If that's it, then I'm taking off before this gets more awkward than it already is.

[There's a lot he needs to catch up on regardless, never mind trying to get things figured out before something else inevitably came up.]

[He could make a quip about how easy it would be to make things very awkward for Ryuuga, but he refrained. He could curb his normal reactions after all, it just wasn't as fun.]
